Kigali city tourism

Depart from the Hotel in the morning after breakfast, drive to Kigali Genocide memorial arrive at 8: 00 am and start the tour which takes about 2 hours. After this tour which introduce to History of Rwanda you go for city tour to learn more about the progress of Rwanda then after you go for lunch. At 2:00 pm depart from the Hotel to Richard Kandt house near former Gakinjiro to learn about Richard. After Richard Kandt House, you drive to Mount Kigali for panoramic view of the City. A visit to the Nyamirambo Muslim quarter is recommended as women from Nyamirambo women’s Centre will guide you through homes of the locals, exposing you to the Arab influences or learn to cook a typically Rwandan meal in one local home. After that you will go back to the hotel.

Depart from the hotel at 7:30; and you drive 9 km out of downtown and head to the International Airport Street at Kanombe for the visit of the former president Habyarimana’s residence. This place is well known for the flight debris which is the remains of the presidential plane that went down on 6 April 1994.After; you drive straight to the restaurant for lunch and back to the Hotel for relaxation.

Depart from the hotel at any time before 3:00 pm, and head to Gishushu where there is base of the parliament. The museum showcases the journey the former RPA (now RPF) combatants did to rescue the Tutsis and how they put an end to the 1994 genocide of Tutsis. After the visit you will go back to your hotel.

Cyaruzinge is located on the Kigali Hills in the Gasabo District about half an hour from Kigali. This community of potters is an interesting cultural experience as you will hear the stories. This experience take about 3 hours and half and after you may pass in local market to buy some locally produced items before going back to the Hotel.

Depart from the hotel at 5:30 pm and drive to downtown to Century Cinema (Kigali City Tower).This is the Kigali’s Premier that features various state-of-the-art theatres including 3D and 5D screenings with full motion viewing seats, surround sounds and combination of special effects. Snacks are available roughly also.
